Canyon Estates began as an agricultural enterprise and has since expanded to include a new venture: Canyon Estates Safaris. Founded by three brothers with a deep love for nature and the Bushveld, Canyon Estates Safaris embodies our passion for wildlife and conservation.

Meet your PH

My name is Reinardt Maritz, and I have dedicated the past eight years to the professional hunting industry as both a Professional Hunter and an Outfitter. Throughout my career, I have built a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and a deep respect for wildlife and conservation.

As a Professional Hunter, I have had the privilege of guiding clients from around the world through some of the most remarkable hunting experiences Africa has to offer. My focus has always been on ethical hunting practices, client safety, and ensuring that each expedition is both memorable and responsibly conducted.

In my role as an Outfitter, I take pride in providing a complete and personalized service from planning and logistics to hospitality and field operations. Every detail matters, and my goal is always to exceed expectations while promoting sustainable use of our natural resources.

I am passionate about the African wilderness, the traditions of the hunt, and sharing that passion with others who respect the land and its wildlife. My years of experience in the field have taught me not only the technical aspects of professional hunting but also the importance of conservation, client relationships, and maintaining the highest ethical standards.
